I'm looking for information/value/date of manufacture of a shotgun just in. It's a 12 ga side by side (a lovely gun), with outside hammers, browned barrels and blued trim. Marked W.W.GREENER "DOMINION GUN" 68 HAYMARKET LONDON

Lots of proof marks etc. but they mean little to me. Any knowledge on this one??

Many thanks

Gunnar

British vintage (you likely already guessed that)......Dominion was a model as far as I can recall.....the browned bbls are indicative of Damascus. Haymarket, London an outlet perhaps? This one is apparently pre Great War.

Folks here would be keen on looking at some images if you would be kind enough to provide :) Will assist in determining some other info you are looking for.

Ahsan has it pretty much right. 68 Haymarket street was Greener's London address from 1890 to 1916. Everything you need to know about the gun can be had from the gents at http://www.wwgreener.com/

Photos would be very nice, especially photos of the proof marks on the water table as well the barrels.

Many thanks :)

Thanks, guys - I now have the age narrowed down a little. Probably is Damascus, but I don't see the usual "swirly" markings in the steel. Internally, except for a few tiny pits at the front of a chamber, it's lovely. Action very solid yet, with no wiggle at all...

I'll try to get some pics on here :)
