wader recommendation?

As a waterfowler I use the neoprene wader 5mm. I find that they keep you warm on those colder fall /early winter hunts, they also help you float not like the others(rubber and or Goretex models)
My waders are 14 years old know and they work just as well as the first day that I bought them.
 
Having had several pairs of waders for fishing, I think the breathables are the best, as they allow you to layer up or down underneath as the conditions dictate, and they fit a little looser for more comfort and mobility.

I don't see any reason why these benefits don't transfer straight across to hunting...
 
A lot of people have drowned in chest waders. If you have a chance of taking a spill in a boat or are near moving water neoprene are much safer as they float you rather than sink you! I have had a pair of medium neoprene "River Rat" waders for ~15 years. Might be the best 150 bucks I ever spent.:)

I wear a pair of neoprene as well from lacrosse, 5 mm, bit warm for early season,but i also wear em when out 4 wheelin in the wet times of the year.Its a investment in saftey, and comfort. buya good set, take care of em and they will last forever.
 
Don't have a whole lot of experience with waders, but on the recommendation of several people I bought a pair of SnoBee's. Supposed to be good quality, they are very comfortable. Cost me $135 taxes included.
 
My neoprene 5mm are great! They are a little warm this time of year though. Unless you fill them with swamp water. Like I did last weekend in Dunchurch. My short little legs weren't quite long enough to touch the bottom. LOL. If you are going to hunt mainly the early season. Then I would suggest a pair of 3.5mm I will be getting a pair for next season.
