I purchased a handgun from a private seller in Qubec and we went through the usual channels and had the firearm legally transferred and I have called the Ontario CFO and the transfer has been approved but the seller says the Quebec CFO is holding it up. Has anyone else had this issue or know anything about this. I assumed if any CFO approved the transfer then its done. any info would be helpful as I am starting to get nervous that I am somehow being scammed.

It is usually the CFO of the Province where the firearm is going that does the approval. I am in ONT and that has been the case for the many I have sold on CGN. The ones going west were approved at once, the ones that stayed in ONT sometimes took a couple weeks.
You should keep the reference # and any info you have on the seller if you think you are being scammed. You can also call the ladies at Mirmachi and ask them on the status - just give the ref # - and they will tell you who is holding the paperwork at this time. You can also ask them to transfer you to that CFO's dept - ONT is extension 7503 I think.
