I've been surfing this site for a few weeks now while waiting for my RPAL app to be processed. And silly me, i keep checking the EE. Well of course the top 2 Firearms on my list are on the EE right now and I CAN'T BUY THEM !!!??!!:bangHead:

This Sucks.

I bought a gun before I even applied for my RPAL, I picked it up after my papers were in order. As suggested pay for a gun and when your RPAL shows up get it transferred.
 
I feel your pain, I went through the waiting process for my upgraded PAL to a RPAL and when it showed up, it was just a new PAL (mistake on their end), then waited another few weeks fort he proper RPAL to get here. Then started buying guns but cant take them anywhere, took me 6 weeks to become a member of a local club, now I have 4 to 6 more weeks of waiting for my ATT so I can go enjoy shooting my new guns.....
 
Hurry up and wait....it sucks we all had to do it then after you pay for new toy you have to wait again to take it home.

Unreal. By the time it all gets sorted out....you'll have to renew your licence:p
 
It's even worse when you've got your gun and can't shoot the damn thing. I've had my pistol for weeks now and I've got 1000 rounds that I can't use because I've gotta wait for my club to run an ATT course then wait for the bloody ATT.

Buy new if you can, the EE has a lot of ... well lets just say overpriced stuff.

What is an ATT course? I thought they apply for a LTATT for you after you complete some range safety courses.
 
As soon as I shipped off my papers to New Brunswick I paid for three guns, then after I got my license I went in and applied for my LTATT and transfers, one of the guns was a hard to come by at the time so as soon as I found it I knew it would be mine

I'm just afraid i'll buy one (or two) and have something go wrong with my Licence. I can't imagine any problems....but Murphy's Law:bangHead:

I was upfront with my local stores, they couldn't actually SELL me anything because I didn't have my RPAL but they accepted a full deposit, and as a deposit it was fully refundable because I had the same fear "what if for some reason it doesn't go through"
 
owning a hand gun is exercise in waiting, I first waited to get into a course to get my RPAL, the courses never matched my work schedule. Waited months to get my RPAL back from the goverment. Waited months to get my Dan Wesson 1911 it was always a week or two away. if you ever wanted to learn patience get a hand gun.

Ah....good idea. I'm Going gun shopping:cheers:

Here's to hoping my semi-local dealers with allow me to do this.
