Waiting time for handgun

Ordered cz shadow 9mm on sept 2 now it is sept 9th my paper work has not gone through I have my resticted and non restricted does it normaly take this long I phoned the dealer today they told me to call my firearms officer in alberta faxed all my info pal card refrence # my handgun membership driver,s licence everything but my visa does it usually take his long thanks for any input:bangHead:

I've been told that your first restricted takes the longest to process. I won a Glock 17 as a door prize and it took 6 days before the STATT was ready. That was about 2 weeks ago. Is it possible that things are getting worst in Alberta as compaired to Ontario? That would be a first. :D
 
Does anybody know how long it takes to get Alberta CFO to approve restricted handgun it has been from the 2nd of September to the 15 of September still nothing I heard in Alberta it s suppose to take hour thanks for the input.

Did you purchase your handgun privately or through a retailer?

In Ontario private purchases typically take much longer than retail purchases.
