In the course of my work, I received the following "weapon warning" which originated with Surrey RCMP:

"The pistol is a Beretta semi automatic in 25 ACP caliber and it carries 8 shots in a detachable magazine. It is very small and could easily be concealed in the palm of a hand. Shown in the photo's attached below is a leather holster/wallet for the pistol. The pistol can be loaded and readied to fire then the holster/wallet can be folded shut and put into a back pants pocket. Note that the leather holster/wallet has a hole in it to allow the pistol to be fired while still enclosed in the wallet."

Ah good to know theres ever more #### to worry about in my town.

Interesting holster to say the least. Thanks for posting it.

I've had one for my 950 for years. Love it!!

Funny thing is, possessing both the gun and the wallet holster in the US is constructive possession unless you get the gun re-registered as an AOW and pay the tax.

These things have been around for years....Hell, they make belt buckles with small .25 and .22 derringers or revolvers mounted in them...

You should put a few dollars in that wallet, it looks pretty bare, unless the dollars are concealed in the barrel!!!

BC Cops Ciruclating "Old News"???

Geez, the first time I saw one of these was about 25 years ago. If the Surrey RCMP are just circulating this info now they are way behind the times.... ;)

A friend of mine used to carry a similar rig, only the handgun was a Hi-Standard 2 shot derringer in .22 Magnum in his back pocket as back-up for years as a patrolman in a large US police department in California. 'Course at the time his duty sidearm was a S&W Model 57 6" .41 Magnum wheelgun... :D

Ironically, the prohib. gun is not available to the licenced public, and is issued soley to criminals.

Then where did it come from?!?! I thought that Canada was free and clear of the firearms/hundguns that were classified as prohibited ever since the registry took effect!

EIGTHEEN YEARS AGO, when i was member of the police force, we had those holsters available for our staff. Those were made by Galco and called "wallet holsters". They stopped making them about TEN YEARS AGO, because of the new US laws... And Surrey RCMP issues "weapon warning" now???

And we are supposed to fear this why?

Fear not the gun but instead the man behind it...any gun is only as good as the one wielding it anyway.

This borders on fear mongering akin to that of the Anti's...more evil gun nonsense ranting....like the assault weapon hype in the US...this is nothing more than akin to that

If I was going to get shot at by a bad guy I could only wish he was armed with a .25 auto stuck in a wallet.

I remember seeing these things around years ago - didn't impress me then - don't impress me now.

I just got a video attached to an email which shows a 4 shot .22 pistol built into a cell phone. Just point and key the top row of buttons - one for each shot. Sorry - don't know how to upload video.

I just read an article (in Combat Handguns maybe ?) about a new lineup of wallet-type holsters made of some type of synthetic material. These holsters were made for the new line of pocket pistols in the US and AFAI can remember, they did not have to be reclassified. There was still a hole in the "holster" to allow firing of the gun but the gun could easily be removed if necessary. Seemed to do a very good job of preventing printing. Now, if/when we are freed from Liberal tyranny up here, we might have a chance of seeing the holster (and gun) firsthand ;-)
