I was at a local Walmart yesterday and zoomed down to the ammo section to have a look for anything good. Low and behold they had boxes of Winchester 12 gauge 3.5" turkey loads on clearance for $3.43 a box, regular price was around $18. So I bought every box they had. Before I went over to the ammo section I thought there would probably be nothing and it would be a waste of time, I am glad I went to take a look. Ten boxes cost me just over $38 with tax.

Several years ago when lead shot was banned for migratory birds Walmart blew out their old lead shot ammo for way less than half price. As I was loading up the shopping cart with every box they had in stock the young salesman stated to me "you sure must miss a lot". I laughed all the way to the cash register. Phil.

I need to find deals
On .22LR, .308 and 12 ga. Someone should start a thread where people can list current deals !

Good story...lol

Wild turkeys running all over the countryside.
that's awesome, must be easy to shoot as they can't fly right? I used to live on Ontario back in the 80s , did a couple of deer hunts in Devils lake but don't recall of hearing about Wild Turkey. Not the eating kind at least :)
