How much I'm suppose to pay for the Walther G22 brand new ?

Who sell this carabine ? (Quebec if possible)

If someone have inputs on this model he's welcome :p

There was a couple in the EE last I saw.
They were asking around $700 for them if I recall correctly. I don't know if you can buy any of them new anymore.

i have been trying to buy one for a while now. the CFC still keeps telling me i cant have it cause its prohib. doesnt sound right, as i see a few for sale hear, and guys are telling me that it is " no prob to do a transfer " acording to the cfc the prohib status has been droped, or changed?
what gives?

The one guy selling one said he called and they had changed the prohib status. Guess you would have to try the transfer and see if it is actually changed.

I only started reading about it today, and it was supposedly going to court late 2007/early 2008 and everything kinda dies-off there.

On a side-note, the wiki article makes no sense...

They say that there is an optional left-handed bolt, but then it goes to say that it can't be fired lefty and walther made a left-handed version to accommodate lefties... Whatever...

I just got off the phone with firearms office clerk in Ottawa regrding transfer G22 into my name. Can't have it. Although status on owners paper shows "non restricted" it is actually prohibited. Local office here approved but then it was sent to Ottawa and rejected there. Same clerk told me court decision regarding G22's will be made soon.

Cheers

Cool. There is still hope yet!

Keep your fingers crossed!..

.yea, just as i thought. the felows selling them are caught in the middle.
i also just got a call from the CFC, and they are indeed prohib class, no matter what the card says

It does, if you took your G22 and stuck it in another non BP stock; voila Non-Restricted. However that would make the G22 just another .22.

But it's a bullpup regardless of stock.

The only spec of logic I found in the bullpup law was to avoid turning a "normal" gun into a bullpup (Like that Israeli M14, pictured below). But the G22 was a bullpup to begin with... They are just trying to strong-arm the gun into prohib status via loopholes.
