Walther GSP - pricing help ?

I guess if it's not in the picture, it's because you don't have it
- Spare front sights
- Spare rear sights blade
- Firing pin and extractor

Our local dealers had a few of them (with case and parts) they were listed at $1,000 and probably sold for $700-$900

Your gun was made in the early 80's, the two extra magazines are worth about $50 each, a new replacement grip can be had for about $130US from Dennis (www marschalgrips com)

I believe the GSP is stamped with a two letter code for the decade and year of manufacture on the left side of the slide by the trigger. A=0, B=1, C=2 and so on.

This is an earlier version. Perhaps early 80s. The grip has not been made in that style, with the upper screw, for a long time. Probably cannot get replacement grips now. There may also be some minor internal changes that would make new parts hard to get (ejectors?)

The letters would be above the barrel's serial number, to the right of the antler.

If you remove the grip, there should a notch in the bottom of the frame. Walther has an adapter that slides in there to use the newer still grips that screw in from the bottom.

Hello, sillymike !

While I'm waiting for my license, I'm trying different guns in our club and debating currently between two: S&W 41 and Walther GSP. Walther seems to fit my hands better, S&W has better service here.
I'm researching places where I can look for used GSP and you indicated that your local dealer had them some time ago.
Could you give me a favor please and provide some reference to that place ?

Thanks in advance,

s&w has all the parts for the 41's [ mine's a 5 digit ser ] ,older walthers are hard to find parts for so i'm told . i have the newer gsp , i like it better for 25 , but the 41 still shines out @ 50 .

You won't go wrong with the GSP. I have two older ones like the one you posted. They usually run about $1000.00 used. Peter Krause in Toronto has parts for them. wwwDOTtargetshootingproductsDOTcom. Brand new GSPs are $2300 and $1300 for the conversion unit.

By the way they do not sell the single stage trigger anymore. I like them more than the two stage triggers.

The GSP pistols are the best if you are serious.
Single stage triggers are available from Earl's Repair in the USA. The two stage can be made a single stage and are more adjustable.

Thanks for your advices ! New GSP Expert is not for me, unfortunately, need to find a source of used ones -)).
