Just saw this. I wonder if this could be a candidate for NR status. No compatibility with internal AR parts (including triggers, etc), plus no "AR" or "15" in the name means it might be more difficult to classify as an AR simply by name, which was part of the problem with the M&P 15-22.
There's no functional bolt release, and it sounds like cleaning is a bit of a chore, but with 10, 20 and 30 round mags available I would consider one if they came in NR. I love my 15-22, but the fact that it's restricted is such a bummer.
