I've been shooting 10m pistol for a bit and considering getting a decent pistol. I like the trigger on walther the most so far.

But the specs list it as 7.5 joules max, at least for the stuff that's sold here.

I want a match pistol that's not a firearm in canada. What would you recommend?

The basic rule is that muzzle velocity should not exceed 500 fps and/or muzzle energy should not be more than 5.7 Joules. Very few match pistols would qualify as firearms under Canadian law as that would limit the number of shooters who would qualify as many would not bother with the rules associated with restricted firearms.

The Walther LP400's maximum energy level is probably adjustable, as are those of most PCP airguns. Check with the retailer/distributor as to whether they require buyers to have an RPAL.
