I'm posting some photos and info on some hand guns that are in my father's estate that the family hope to sell before the government puts any bans in place. I'll post them one at a time. We're just trying to get an idea of value before they go on the sale sections. I know time is tight, so they'll go up fast. We would appreciate any help you could give us. There are some milsurp and some civilian that I'll post in the pistol and revolvers section. I'm sorry for the poor info. I don't have them at my house, but if you have specific questions I'll try to get them answered. Thank you.

Walther P-38 Ser. # 1585e. Sorry I don't have any more info on this one.

Looks like a nice 1943 dated Walther made piece. If the bore is decent I’d say these tend to move in the $800-1000 range give or take.

Edit - has the front sight been filed down or is that just the picture?

P38 is easily the least accurate firearm I ever owned.

Can you hit the side of a barn door from 25 yard - maybe.:bump:

As to value, they are more popular in the US with several sites going into each detail. Never really caught up in Canada.

We sold a P38 with holster and two mags for $1300 and sold a P1 with a holster and two mags for $1100 last week

It does look like the front sight has been filed down. I assume that would have been done to match the point of impact. I've never shot it so I can't comment on the accuracy.

In November 2021 I sold the P.38 with holster and book shown below for $1,100.
