I have a question for all you P99'ers out there.
Does the Canadian market P99 (9mm) have the same barrel length as the one for the American market.
The reason I am asking is that I'm looking to buy a holster for it, and I've seen some info to suggest that:
The American P99 (9mm) is 4.00 inches.
The American P99 (40S&W) is 4.17 inches.

And suggested by this site:

There is a Canada specific model (just search for "Canada" on the page.

And lastly, if any of you guys have recommendations for an IWB holster for my girlfriend's P99AS, let me know.

The 9mm P99 has a 106mm barrel for Canada. It is a 102mm (4 inch) barrel for the rest of the world, other than possibily other dumb countries with dumb laws. The .40S&W gun is a bit bigger. I believe it is 108mm or something like that, here and in the U.S.

It shouldn't make any difference to any holster you buy. Holsters are almost all open at the muzzle and, in any event, the protrusion of the barrel is very minimal. Here is a picture of the 9mm P99 I used to own. Gives you an idea how far it sticks out (4mm from flush):

For comparison, some other guns that ship to Canada with longer barrels:

Steyr M9-A1:

SIG P229 with HK P2000 (and HK P7 PSP - which doesn't have an extended barrel):

Cool. Thanks for the reply and info.
I feel so much safer knowing that our Canadian criminals will only shoot me with a 106mm barrel, rather than the fearsome 102mm one that their brethren down south use.

Anyways, as far as holster options go, please tell me that ordering one from the US isn;t going to land me in jail due to some obscure import/export law that I don't know.

I have never had any difficulty ordering holsters from the U.S. other than two things: (1) some U.S. places won't sell anything outside the U.S. (but lots will); and (2) sometimes you get charged duty on holsters.
