Walther P99 question

I know the AS stands for "Anti Stress"
When you pull the trigger about 2/3 it catches and the final third will release the firing pin. It was designed to prevent accidental discharges in stressful situations.
I am not sure about the QA maybe some one ells can help you with that.

QA , mean quick action. The striker is preset to a certain amount everytime the slide goes in battery, that reduced the travel of it and the weight, depending on the spring weight on that trigger.

Other example are Glock, S&W M&P, HK with LEM module.

The AS is a true double action pistol (DA is about 9lbs, and SA is about 5.5lbs)
The idea being if you de-#### it the first shot is a long hard pull, followup shots are much lighter with a very short trigger reset. If you don't de-#### the first pull will still be long but much lighter.(although if you pull the trigger lightly it will click and lock into a second position, at which point you'd have both a very short and light pull) The AS trigger breaks when the trigger is pretty much at the frame of the gun.

The P99 QA is Glock-like in that every shot has a consistent trigger pull, and is relatively light (about 7lbs). The QA trigger breaks a little further from the frame of the gun.

The original P99(first gen) has the AS trigger but doesn't mention it on the slide. Since releasing the QA they now mark the slide with the trigger type.
