So I called North Sylva Co. to find out if my luck had changed and the ETA on the Walther P99`s in 40 had changed to a sooner than later date.
What I got was something else. The man on the line told me that he had 18 Walther`s in stock in 40S&W and that he wasn`t sure however if they were the AS trigger models or the other trigger models. So I asked him to double check, to make sure. He comes back and tells me that a Walther P99AS is considered a prohibited firearm so they sent all 18 back to Germany and that I would have to wait till Spring 2013 to get them with the extended barrel.
Are there any current 2nd gen or newer (2004 P99 - Present) Walther P99AS .40S&W owners out there right now that could prove this wrong. As far as I know the 9mm P99 is the only one that needs an extended barrel and not the 40S&W.
Pictures would help.
