My PDP is in the mail and I want to order the optic plate for it now. Problem is I need to know if the plate cut in the gun is Gen1 or Gen2. According to the order page, F series are Gen2. My gun's serial number starts FDP____. Is that confirmation it's F series? Question sounds dumb but I don't want to risk messing it up. TIA.

Email Walther customer service with your serial number before placing the plate order form. They will know. Mine was the same first 3 and they sent me the newer plate style.
it ships from gravel agency after your place your order. Mine was back ordered for the trijicon style and took a couple weeks.

Hi , if your serial number starts with FDP .... it doesn't mean it's F series . F series is a new model for female (smaller grip) and it is not aveleble in Canada .
If yours is black, it maybe gen1 if it's gray or od green it's gen2

The lugs if well machined with tight tolerances will definitely take the stress off the screws..... While quality screws might not be a problem for a long time..... might is the key factor in their smart decision to listen to the armchair engineers out there and make an adjustment to their cnc file. It says a lot about their commitment to happy customers and willingness to be humble about it. Down in the states all their guns come with a no risk money back period where if your not happy with your gun after a month maybe a bit more of shooting it you can send it back no questions for a full refund.... I've heard of some tool companies offering that sort of deal but not guns.
