Looking for information on converting Walther PP 7.65 MM Browning from Prohib to Restricted. Cost, complexity, who does it, etc.

Thanks

There is more to converting a 32 to a.380 than just a barrel if I recall, the slide needs work on the bolt face and some work on both the ejector and extractor. Results can be iffy. Some guns run like a top, and some never work reliably. Epp's did a .30 Reid conversion which just required the barrel. It is a 32 case necked down to.30 caliber. They even worked out a deal with Redding( I believe) for dies since it is a reloading proposition only. That would by far be the cheapest route.

The 32ACP conversion to 380 ACP is very prone to failure. I've seen 4, only one of which worked with any degree of reliability. The slides bolt face has to be enlarged, which affect the extractor as well.
By far the easier and more reliable conversion is to 30reid. But as said it's a reloading only proposition.
Contact Elwood Epps for either conversion, but be prepared to wait.
