Walther PPK

I suppose there will be some for sale on the EE from time to time. An alternative would be to buy a PPK, but have it sent to a 'smith like Barry Jensen at Bits of Pieces in Delta BC, to install a "restricted" barrel, re-register the gun and then send it to you. I've done that a few times with Barry. His work is outstanding and he's easy to talk to. Personally, if you're going to have the longer barrel installed, I think it looks a bit better on a PP, than on a PPK. It's a shame to have to do it at all, but...

Can it be done on a .32, or does the caliber have to be changed to .380 as well? I thought .32 was prohibited by caliber

It would be nice if someone brought in a run of Canadian length ,new production ,stainless Walther ppk's....

Yes, one must change barrel length and calibre if it's originally chambered in .32 or .25. Technically, one could try to just surrender/destroy the offending parts (short barrel and/or .25 or .32 chamber) and re-register as a restricted frame only. Although this "frame only" approach is perfectly within the law, the CFO/CFC don't like to do it and seem to have made it policy to drag their heels and/or insist on rebarreling/rechambering (because they said so).

Actually the best would be for one of our gun supplier in Canada to see if there is a possibility for them to build or import from somewhere a custon restricted barrel and then realise the restricted package for sale in Canada.
