Just bought my first handgun, Walther PPX. There are more in stock and I though this was a good price with free shipping. Thought I would share in case someone else is looking.

I have a PPX that I have owned for a couple months, took it on trade. I can say I am quite happy with it, been shooting IDPA with it and was good enough for first place overall last weekend. Guy at our club has a PPQ and the PPX isn't quite as nice and would be a bear for lefty's as it is not ambi, but very accurate and a nice trigger for a gun in this price category. My only issue is finding spare mags for it, wanted a couple more and cant find them anywhere in Canada

I have heard here on CGN of people having the barrel on the PPQ shortened to just on the legal limit by a gunsmith. Does this have any effect on the accuracy at all? Does it have any negative effects?

The PPQ is a superior pistol. Smaller, lighter, fully ambi. The PPX is geared towards recreational shooters. The PPQ a military/police pistol.

Negative, that pistol has too light a trigger and too short a reset, walther claimed off the bat they weren't expecting them to sell well to the law enforcement agencies, and correct me if I am wrong but no military has adopted one yet, so if that was the aim, they haven't achieved that. Not yet at any rate.

I believe Greece has to some extent. At least in their special forces capacity.

It looks great to me but I've read that the PPQ is nicer...hence the price difference. The range kit sold me, budget was a factor. I watched this review which was helpful...long but helpful.

I watched that video as well. It was exceptional by Youtube standards. Very thorough.

I remember the hellenic forces were trialling it, but I'm not sure if they adopted it. Last I heard they were still running glock 17s. I could be wrong.

On a sidenote I want to clarify something does the ppq come with a 1 year warranty or a lifetime warranty? I heard both but don't own one, so I was wondering what was accurate.
