I have a walther single shot .22 bolt action rifle. The stock is an older style thumbhole stock. Barrel is not a heavy barrel. Anyone know anything about walters? I tried to find a pic. on the internet but cannot find one...also cannot find any info on the gun.

Regards

George

I have one, its called sports rifle. No thumb hole stock though.
In target shooting there is different types of guns, mine was for sports shooting class.
Its a very old gun, I've had this one for about 25--30yrs.

Did it look like one of these?

I looks most like the top one, with the sights of the bottom two. Your thumbhole stock looks much nicer than mine. Barrel looks like a heavy barrel for a couple of inches past the receiver then tapers down to a reg. barrel. Looks like all of then do that too!

What are those things worth?

Everyone thanks for the replys!

The top two are actually both KKJ-T rifles. The top one has a custom stock, but the actions are identical. These rifles also have a very nice trigger. The bump on the bottom is a type of button/screw that changes the trigger much like an early set trigger.

I have seen a thumb hole stock from a Walther match rifle. However the gentleman had it converted for his Remington 40x (One heck of a nice rimfire). So there is a match version out there as well that comes with a thumb hole stock. I don't know if it has a heavy barrel or not.

Your rifle may be a KKJ-T in a different stock, or it could be one of the match versions.

price runs from $400 to $750 depending on the rifle, shape and stock.

I love the sights on the lower 2 rifles...:)

Thanks. I need to practice more with them, but they sure are fun.

I lucked out with the bottom KKJ since it also came with all the sight inserts and the tool.

I really like the Walther rifles. I own some other nice rimfires but these Walther's always put a smile on my face when I see them. The top two I've shot and they both seem to be very accurate (The top one with Lapua Superclub ammo may outshoot my Kimber SVT)
