I want to buy my son a bag to carry a couple of pistols, and supplies, to the range.

I generally just go to Dillon for my shooting supplies, but the bag they have is smaller than my old one, and I often find it too small.

Anybody know of a shooting bag they would recommend??

Christmas is coming, I gotta get going on this!

I have this one and Love it..

All these bags look great, but how do they lock? I don't see any provision for using locks on these to comply with the transport regs.

FYI, these bags aren't manufactured with our crazy Canadian restricted firearm transportation regulations in mind.

Lock the zippers together is as good as it'll get. Or buy a dedicated soft pistol case. Or a Plano hard shell case.

Here in Canuckistan, you gotta lock the firearm with a trigger lock or similar, that inside a box, that insider another box, then inside a lockable not transparent container, then inside a tank, then you hire a driver to drive the tank, then you have to hire a private company to watch the the tank and bag at all times, In some cases, depending the province a K-9 unit is needed too....

So I decided to make a custom pelican case for my pistols. It's the 1500, and the foam is Kaizen foam. All from the pelican store . com

That looks great Avenida. Did you order it just with the Kaizan foam as an option or did you pick up one of the separate optional Kaizan foam kits? (Looks like you have two or three layers there?)

Thanks!

Canadian tire sells an aluminum tool box that is like a briefcase. It has the tear out foam block inside. I have mine set up to carry four handguns with all the mags (unloaded). The box itself has locking latchs and goes on sale for 20 bucks. I carry that and a toolbox bag (Stanley I think) soft bag that locks with all my ammo, target and normal range gear. I have two bags which keeps it all separate and the law man happy happy.

I hit a ride program the other day going home from the range and the office looked right at my gear and didn't even take a second look. I like that it doesn't look like gun bags :)

Got the dewalt bag at homedepot, big, lots of pockets and strapping. Half the price and heavier duty than most range bags. Big bonus is nobody knows watcha got inside

Flame suit on! Nc starrange bag and I love it LOTS of options to it! Fairly cheap price AND pretty decent quality . I've been F'd on there optics but I'll come back for there bags ( I've got 3 different styles)

Thanks, yes two layers.
Ordered everything from pelican store.
Kaizen foam is a lot better than pick and pluck foam.
