I normally hunt geese. This year, my buddies and me want to try ducks.

Do you know an outfitter within 3-4 hour drive from GTA?

Thank you.

Geardown Waterfowl is a great outfitter around the St.Marys area. They have a nice web page with all the rates. I know the owner and have been hunting with the. Great guys with an impressive skill set. They have access to more than 10000 acres ranging from fields to river banks. They also do diver hunts outta Port Colburne. If you need info to contact them feel free to pm me.

You can try Walpole Island. There was a gun shop in Wallecburg (not sure if they are still there?). The gents at the gun counter should have some recommendations for an outfitter, or try the community centre on the Island. My advice, hunt when the cold fronts start pushing those big Northern Mallards and Black ducks down South. They are nice for the dinner table, yes sir. Some outfitters around Wallecburg hunt spots where it's mostly local ducks (and geese) only, and this means high flying shots after those birds get educated in the first week or so. You could spend your money, and not even get off a shot. Wait until the cold moves the Northerns down, and then go to the Island. Worth the money, but you'll need to basically book now for the 2013 season.

Hey! Much appreciated. It is not as expensive as I thought. Plus not too far away :)
