If the kit comes with the slide, barrel and lower grip assembly, where is the serial number located?

I understand the Fire Control Unit or FCU that houses the entire trigger unit does not come with the parts kit, but is there not a serial number somewhere?

It's a crying shame we cannot buy the entire pistol with Trudy and Singh in charge, shameful indeed.....

The serial number is engraved on the right side of the FCU (steel trigger housing). I don't see any other serial numbers visible on the slide/barrel/grip. Only the FCU is considered as serialized parts.

So I answered my own question with the link above.

Yet I am still confused on how one can keep the lower frame with the serial number on it.

The serial number is engraved on the right side of the FCU (steel trigger housing). I don't see any other serial numbers visible on the slide/barrel/grip. Only the FCU is considered as serialized parts.
