I want to replace my 18.5" Grizzly mag fed barrel with one of the 12.5" ones you have. My Grizzly has ghost sights and the 12.5" on your site has a bead on it. Do you also sell them with a different front site? Can I remove my front sight and install it over the bead like some of the XS shotgun sights do with epoxy? Any other options.

Thanks guys!

+1, I'm in the same boat but I want the barrel to come with the correct sight so I can swap the two barrels.

Looks like our option is to buy the barrel and get something like this..

Or just take our rear sight off and go for a nice CQB rail. :stirthepot2:

The AR15-870 CQB MKII is just that, an update of the 1st Gen “brobee” stock adaptor. Many refinements have been added including a 1pc 20” long Mil standard M1913 rail, the only one of its kind for an AR15-870 stock adaptor. The rail will allow you to mount any kind of optics and iron sites that you wish. The AR15-870 CQB MKII allows you to set up your Remington 870 Shotgun in the same configuration as one of today’s most advanced weapons systems, the AR 15 carbine/Rifle. Allowing one of the most stable shooting platforms in use today, whether it is, game hunting, combat shotguning, home defense or military and LEO use. The AR15-870 CQB MKII is an excellent addition to any Remington 870 Shotgun. The CQB MkII has the lowest profile rail allowing for a tighter fit, as well and a clamp employed at the end of the rail to make sure that there is no shifting of the rail under recoil. SPECS * Adaptor is Investment Cast and heat treated to T6 and CNC machined * Rail is CNC machined from billet 6061 T6 * Entire unit is anodized to milspec Type 3 * 100 % of all parts are made in Canada This stock adapter system is comfortably carried in the low ready position, making prolonged carrying in a condition of semi-readiness much less fatiguing. You will appreciate a pistol grip stock during long hours of use, as most of the world's military rifles are equipped with this type of stock.

It would look real nice with my Mesa Tactical stock. Hmmmm.

I like where this thread is going ... Welcome to the dark side of compact guns, they are the epitomy of long guns :)

LOL...With a mag fed shotgun the length of the barrel doesn't matter for capacity. I love my Mossberg 590A1 SPX 20" with 9 shot capacity and wouldn't change that shotgun one bit, but with the Grizzly why not "dark" it up a bit? :p

I like em short, my CQB is my favourite purchase yet - it's just amazing!

Did you see the 3 shot super shorty 870's? those are cool, but restricted :(

A possibility, but not for me, I think I'll either buy a complete gun for the right barrel or perhaps I might buy the bead barrel and manufacture a front site...

Yes, I am doing something similar now. I have this in my checkout at CanadaAmmo...

For a little over a hundred bucks more I can have my 12.5" barrel and also a cheap deer shotgun. Just going to swap my 18.5" with this one.

It's been in my checkout since yesterday, I have to hurry up and sh*$ or get off the pot. :p Just going to change the front sight myself as well. This will look better as a deer gun anyway as this season I went out with a "tacticool" 870 sporting a hunting plug.

Figured i would toss up a photo of the 12.5 barrel on an 870

That grain on your 870 looks nicer than my Grizzy. Grrrr! :p I did some swapping of barrels on my new Grizzly with my 18.5" mag fed grizzly. Will post some pics.

Too bad my shotgun didn't arrive yesterday as I went small game hunting and had to take one of my "black" shotguns. Had to plug the mag tube again! Now with the new Grizzly and the longer barrel I put on it I am going to just leave a plug in it.

Yea the wood have been more at home, reminds me of that line from Happy Gilmore:

Virginia: What's this I hear about you breaking a rake and throwing it in the woods?

Happy Gilmore: What? I didn't *break* it, I was just testing its durability, and then I *placed* it in the woods because it's made of wood and I just thought he should be with his family."

Here's the new Grizzly as she came..

Now as my hunting beater...

My Mag Fed looking a little ugly before the barrel swap..

Finally put the barrel on the mag fed that it should have had in the first place and took the awful heat shield off...

Now have to work on the sights. :D
