Hey, i have sold the 92fs for the CZ sp01 shadow, production ipsc use. I am spending quite a bit of time alone at the range and in my basement dryfiring before using this platform in a sanctionned practice/match. This way i will be more comfortable handling this platform. So far i am really satisfied, going in for a trigger job and all. The only thing that is ergonomicly bugging me is the ambi paddle safety.

I am right handed, and i love how my RH thumb can rest on the LH paddle very comfortably. But the RH paddle is in the way, when i reload, i like bringing that RH index on the joint on frame/slide, and the RH paddle is problematic for this. I have researched a bit, with limited knowledge on the subject, i see people recommending thin profile 75/85 ambi safeties. But i love the LH paddle. If i do keep finger under it, it get's really close to trigger guard.

Is there a safety that exists that is LH paddle, nothing at all on the right, production legal?
I stumbled on this part here, before i order is this what i need?

That's the safety Shadow has from the factory.
The thin set you referred to is this one czcustom.com/shadowthinsafetyset.aspx
I've put it on both of my guns, but then original left safety was digging into the base of my support hand. With flat safeties it is not an issue and I'm also sure I don't push on the gun with my strong hand thumb...

You will like the safety as is when you shoot weak hand. Unless you have giant hands, I think you should be taking a look at your grip with a good IPSC instructor as this is NOT a common problem people experience shooting shadows. If your hands are very large you may prefer a M&P, Glock or a Beretta 92

I will talk about this with the ipsc instructor, but i think euxx has the best solution. I sometimes hear about how guys overpressure their safety paddles on sti platforms.

As for using another platform than the shadow, it's the instructor that got me into this platform to start off with. Previously was running a 92fs and brought it to 12k round count. So i'm in direct measure to compare both.

My grip has been checked, you ended up being right. No parts we're ordered!

just get the flat safeties, the vast majority of shooters using Shadows use them, for a reason. CZ safeties are wrong, 1911 safeties are right (I didn't say that)
