She doesnt like the look of boltaction, so I think semi is the way to go. The levers seem to be expensive and the only lookers there made by browning. Dont get me started on a single shot .22.....

I've been looking at the 10/22 but it seems to be a bit big for her. Any ideas?

Can always cut the stock down a bit on a 10/22(Or any gun for that matter)

Biggest advantage I can think of for a 10/22 would be the customizing part of it.....there is so much that can be done to a 10/22 to make it "hers"

Custom colored stock, fluted barrels......the list goes on and on.....

Thats what I was thinking.

She wants a pink cadpat:puke:.. anyone know where I can get that done professionally?

Get a 10/22 and then mod it. For instance get the krinker Kit and it will fit her perfectly and 100$ says she loves the fact her rifle makes her feel devlish

If you have restricted, i would say get the Armco Norinco Model 93.

As a matter of fact, check out all of Norinco's .22 rifle and handgun line up. They all work and if she doesn't get into it like you hope she does, you wont have spent too mcuh money. And if she does get into it, you still have money to go and buy her something a little more expensive.

I bought m wife a Walther P22 in hopes she would get into it and she didn't. Had to sell it for less then I bought soon after. Women:bangHead:

The jury is still out on my 597 (I haven't had a chance to shoot it since the last good cleaning and a new hammer install). But others around here like them and have has better luck.
People seem impressed with the Marlin 60. Cheap and reliable.
The standard Henry lever is in the $275 range, and also gets good reviews.
Does this help? Probably not! :(

Ruger has a smaller 10/22 now available that would probably fit her!
** Compact model features a shorter 16 1/8" barrel, short 12 3/4" length-of-pull, high-visibility fiber optic front and rear sights, and correctly proportioned tapered forends with no barrel bands

You can get this color combo from Richards micro fit, in any 10/22 design
Colors shown on a different stock here.

This is what I have found with my Wife.
She likes shooting. Cares far more how a gun looks than how it functions/shoots. BUT the more she shoots the more she is going away from that into a more practical mindset. And a guns looks aren't as important ... Still doesn't like revolvers though...

If the regular 10/22 is too big for her try a youth model, then it can be modified in anyway you want later on.

Good Luck!

I think my girl is going to be the same way. Even though she adores revolvers, wants me to get into restricted shooting.

Frankly, I can't afford getting a restricted liscense and all the fees associated with it.
