I have a10/22 that I have had for years and do truly love but I'd like a bolt gun for a change.

The catch is that I shoot left handed.
I'm sure its been asked a million times, but are there any good, affordable lefty .22's around?

Not too sure i want a savage, but someone else must make them.
 
I've been looking for the same thing. I see the models on the CZ website but I have yet to see one for sale anywhere. If I do, I'll post.
 
Well I hope you are not deadset against a savage. I just got a MK II GL the basic blued/wood lefty model and its a peach! I put a Leupold 2-7x28 rimfire scope and I absolutely love it to pieces. I have about 400 rnds through it so far. I haven't found a 'standout' load for it yet but it has been putting 10shot groups into about 1-1.5" at 50 yards with most of the usual ammo, cci minimags, fed/win target etc. I have a few more rounds to try for it plus some 5 rnd mags I picked up. Can't wait to take it out again, my 10/22 has been left in the dust since purchasing the savage. I would take a second look at them, sure the fit and finish won't match a CZ etc, but neither does the price, I got my savage and the leupold scope and bipod all together for less than I would have been in for a CZ. I still might pick one up if I find a lefty CZ, especially a 22mag...

Its not that is m against a savage, its just that the only models available in left hand seem to be the base modules. I'd be looking for a heavy barrel and stainless.
I guess I should have pout that in the original post...

there is the mark 2 BTVLSS which is a stainless action and heavy stainless barrel. also a left handed thumbhole boyds stock. given that it has the stainless action and heavy stainless barrel there are at the upper end of the savage .22 pricing... but its basically the same price for a right handed version.

I'm sold! The Savage looks great. Where do you find one of these? Nobody has it in stock, is there a shop that would order it for you? irunguns?
