I'm looking to reload some ammunition. I have some obsolete calibres and want to reload for them. Also looking for a hobby to help pass the time. My cal's are 225 win and 284 win. I already have 225 dies. Any good start-up kits?

Thats all the tools needed to start reloading? Is that for any caliber or is it only for long guns or only for hand guns?

Well I'm reloading 30-06 right now..

You will need different Dies for what you shoot.. You can order the Kit with Dies for handguns from SIR Mail order for under $100. Then all you need is some Brass, Primers, Bullets and Powder and your pretty much set for your first loads.... If you shoot rifle or pistols all you need to buy are dies for that caliber and ur pretty much set...

Check the EE. Loading equipment comes up once in a while, and you can probably get a whole rig for fairly cheap there.

Hehehe, that's how it starts: 'wow, reloading is cheap!'

Sure, loaded cartridges cost about 1/3 price. And loading equipment pays for itself fairly quickly. But you'll end up shooting 10 times more ammo :)

You NEED:
-a press
-dies
-shell holders
-a powder scale
-powder funnel
-powder, primers, brass & bullets
-lube

You'll want:
-a powder dispenser (mechanical or electronic)
-hand priming tool
-a case trimmer
-case chamferer
-trickler
-3 or more load manuals. You can get some free ones from powder manufacturers online

You might also want
-neck sizer
-seating gauge
-calipers
-a micrometer
-primer pocket cleaner
-brass tumbler
-chrony
