Wanted a GSR 1911 Sig but no luck, whats feedback on Tacops 1911?

Was looking to obtain a GSR 1911 Sig, however these things are well impossible to find it seems. So looking at the comparables being the 1911 Sig Tacops. What's people thoughts on it for comparison?

I actually do not have a bunch of knowledge in the 1911s, which are others favourites.

From a stock purchase standpoint I'd like night sights, back adjustable preferred. Nothing plastic escentially I shoot better with a tad heavier gun.

Any input would be appreciated.

Isn't the GSR the Discontinued? That was the Original model from a few years ago.

The have stopped using that name. They all have new names now. Use the 2011 SIG Catalog to choose your weapon.

The TacOps is the new hotness as well as the Scorpion model. The C3 also gets Rave Reviews. I want a C3.

Absolutely LOVE mine. It got me 2nd place at the IDPA Ontario Provincials and it wasn't even broken in yet

1000 flawless rounds through mine so far...900 of them hand loads. This is one's a keeper. If I were to build a 1911 from scratch, a Tac Ops is exactly what I would wind up with.

And of course, any chance I get to show off

Wherermykeys, can you tell me are the stock sights on your Tacops quality night sights comparable to Trudot or Trijicons? The back sight same as other standard 1911 where you have small grub set screw?

Great sights on the Tac Ops. I believe they're made by Meprolight as they're exactly the same as on my friend's Kimber.

Mine says Trijicon right on it.

The Tacops is a great pistol or the price, so many features.
