Hey Guys,
Just going through the gun closet and wanted to do some research on a gun that was passed down in our family. It is an older SxS 12g double-barrel with hammers, domascus barrels, and some nice older engraving.
The info I have on the gun:
On the reciever, it shows it is a "Fred Williams" made in Birgmingham, England. The top of the barrel there is a checkered line down the center of the two barrels, and says "England" and "Laminated Steel".
From what I can see, the serial number appears to be 96762 and on the bottom of the barrel is stamped "WJ". As I said, it is a double-hammer 12g shotgun.
Any info on age, value, details, etc would be appreicated.

Fred Williams

Not sure if this is the same maker or not but in the English Gunmakers book, they list 2, Frederick Williams (1873 to 1900) 47 1/2 Whitail St 1873 to 76 then moved to 32 and 33 Weaman St from 1877 to 1900 and likely latter this book only goes to 1900 for dates
The second person was Frederick William Williams 1881 to 83 at 49-50 Weamans St in Birmingham
That is all the information I have hope it is some help
