hey all im currently trying to build a long range rifle based of a weatherby vanguard and having trouble finding a custom after market stock to put on it, im looking for something with pistol grip or thumb hole, synthetic, and very sniper or tactical looking, just for cosmetic pouropses, heavy is ok i fully expect this to be a 15 lbs gun when im dont. if anyone can point me in the right direction is much appreciated thank you.

The Vanguard is actually a Howa. Seems to me that the round receiver is fairly close to a Rem 700. You could most likely make one of those fit with a little work. Ian Robertson could most likely build you one as well, and he makes good stocks. - dan
Manners will inlet for a vanguard, but it isn't quite right. I ordered one, and it is a little low at the back of the action. I have to build it up more to fit nicely. I got a T5A and love the stock. If free floating with a heavy barrel, it will need to be reinforced so it won't touch the barrel when on a rest. Here are a couple of pics of the action at the back where manners doesn't build it up enough and one of the entire rifle. Sorry for the poor quality, camera on the phone wasn't set that great.
