hey guys,

i want to buy a scoped bolt action long range rifle in the near future.

i have my mind set on the Remington 700P .308 and want to get a accuracy international stock for it.

i am left handed, and i dont know if the 700P or the AICS come in lefty config. i wouldnt mind getting a right handed rifle though.

few questions:

does the 700P use detachable magazines to feed?
and after the install of the AICS can i use the 10 round mags like in the picture shown?
AICS_02.jpg

how much is an AICS usually?
and how much will a nice scope and rings cost?

how much is a complete rifle from AI? the AWM looks awesome

thanks lots

The 700P .308 is a great rifle. I love mine. I just got it last weekend, and i'm going to the range again saturday and sunday to blast away.

The 700P uses an internal magazine with hinged floorplate. If you do go the AICS way, you will be able to use the detach box mags. The question is, would you rather pay 1000$ for something built outside canada that is average, or pay 1000$ for a nice custom built stock to fit YOU?

Regarding scope and rings, my rifle is topped with a Burris XTR312 mildot, sitting in TPS TSR rings on top of a Warne Tactical picatinny base.

If you have questions, just ask

Nope. Backwards only for the 700P. The regular 700 VSF comes left though. The major difference is the stock and the metal finish. Lists at $992US. Adding a fancy stock(apparently also right only) for another grand or more makes for a pricey rifle.

700p

After four years my 700 still has its factory HS precision stock and shoots < .5moa.
I personally would not change this until I was tired of it, I am still waiting to be tired......
