I'll admit, at first I was rather lukewarm about the VZ58, I preferred the AK platform and saw it more as an off-brand substitute than anything.
However after running one for years now, and seeing the huge growth in the aftermarket and knowledge base, I'm now getting to be a fan!
There are still some things I like about the AK more, and vice versa.
I've left the rifle I currently have stock except for Melonite refinishing, when I get another I plan to go a bit fancier next time around now that I have a better idea of what I want.
