Warped accustock on my Savage

Has anyone ever had an accustock warp on them? If so, what was the fix?

I purchased a Savage Model 10 FCP-K .308, form a board sponsor in the summer of 2010, it's a great rifle and shoots better than I do...or did. When I got it, I noticed the stock was just slightly twisted but was still clear of the barrel. It didn'treally bother me, I mean aluminum-reinforced plastic kept at room temperature isn't going to warp...right? I pulled it out of the safe today, the left side of the stock is now pressed hard against the barrel.

I'm thinking heat gun, and a lot of patience...bad idea?

I'll try and get decent pics up tomorrow, after I borrow a good camera.

use it as an excuse to convince wifey that a new stock is needed...

Phone Savage, (413) 568-7001, and ask them to send you a new one.

Called Savage, sounds like they'll replace the stock, just waiting to hear back form the nearest waranty center.

They said not to bother trying to straighten it.
