Warranty on original run NEIT/NEA ambi safety...

So I tracked down a brand new NEA ambi safety, the original version that allowed the safety to be run like an AR safety on the left side using the thumb to flick down then the trigger finger on the right to go back on safe.

Got it installed on my brand new, never fired, CSA VZ58 rifle. I've been running reload drill with snap caps. Everything ran perfect.

Then it split in half. Left with no left side selector. Sheared right off.

Does anyone have info on NEA and NEIT merger?

Does anyone have a phone number? I emailed them weeks ago with a different question and never heard back.

I'm bummed, bought the rifle only after sourcing this original ambi safety, now that's toast.

Hope you guys can help me with a phone number. Hoping I can get some help with a warranty claim.

The left side has a pin through it, did the pin just break?

Also if you manage to call NEA I'm going to assume that you're SOL. They specifically state the ambi safety is not for use on CSA rifles be it a first gen or current.

I would give SFRC a call, they have taken over all the websales for NEA. They can probably steer you in the right direction.

Sounds like all the NEIT stuff was made from ####ty steal or not heat treated properly. You may have heard of the NEIT bolt catch rounding over and not working after few rounds. This is the first safety I've heard of snapping though.

The selector was a NEA product, not a Neit one.

You didn't happen to bend the shaft when installing the roll pin? That's quite easy to do and I imagine it would weaken the shaft. I bent one of my up when installing the pin but it has held together since.
