Hey All:

My buddy has this 12 Ga Semi, it;s a Warrior made in Turkey. I have never seen one, nor have any experience with. It works like junk.. It has has an extra button that must be pushed in order to load shells, also, it needs to be pushed in order to unload. I get the bolt release concept, and am familiar with the operations of a SA, but this thing is odd. It sort of acts like the mag cut off from the A5's, but not consistent. And lately will not feed a fresh shell while shooting. It is causing great butt pain while hunting.

Am I missing something, is there a trick. Looked on the Google, no luck. Any input would be fantastic.

Cheers

IKT

The warriors were brought in by Corwin Arms several years ago. The one i have has been my go to clays gun (admittedly low rounds/year) but it's always worked well for me. I can't remember at the time if people found they worked better with the gas piston fairly wet and oily, or if it's better dryer. You might give it a good cleaning and try dry, then try with a generous oiling and compare.

You could also try emailing Martin at Corwin and see if he has any suggestions.

If i remember correctly they are very very similar to the Weatherby SA-08, so you might read up on them and see if you find any suggestions on something similar.

It is not a cleaning issue. It is a mechanical, the extra button is causing the problem. If you load two into the mag tube, rack the action, the shells don't come on to the lifting tray, then into the breech. When you push the extra button, it will. Same for the unload, rack the action, chambered round ejects, one it tube will not load into chamber, to be ejected. I have no idea what the purpose of the button is. It is now not picking up the second round when firing live, I am convinced it is the buttons fault. But I have no idea why.......

I don’t know anything about those guns. But is sounds similar to a pump gun a friend of mine had out. There was an extra button so you could pull the shell out of the chamber with out one coming out of the mag and in. Basically you can pull the round from the chamber without feeding another in. Good luck.

My bad, read it as if you were having issues with it cycling. I've always dropped one in the open chamber, hit the bolt release then loaded a couple more in the mag, i've never loaded them in the mag, then cycled the bolt to pick it up. I only ever use the extra button if i haven't fired it and the bolt isn't holding open to decock it and hold it back.

I've never had issues with a second round not feeding through the warrior. Have you tried any different brands of ammo? I had a different 12ga that wouldn't feed a particular box of federal shells, but worked fine with winchester and a few others. My guess as that box was on the large side of the size tolerance and the mag interrupter is on the tight side and they had issues. Even if it happens with other ammo, it could be an issue with the interrupter not letting the shells pass by.

If different ammo doesn't make any difference definitely get in contact with Martin. He may still have parts, or may have a better solution for you.

I’ve got one.

I love the ergonomics of it, but the reliability is not what I would like it to be.

Extraction is still hit-and-miss on low brass shells. It likes lots of oil.

And manuals/spares are non-existant.

+1 on contacting the distributor. Good service and communications.

This is what I was thinking, for when the tube is loaded with birdshot and a grizzly charges your flank and you gotta drop a slug in real quick.
