Went to pick up a Turkey Choke for my new Warrior shotgun (Carlson True Choke Thread) Turns out this is the incorrect thread (I had read on a thread that it takes true Choke threads)

Can someone help me identify what threads it does take? I will be driving an hour tomorrow to the nearest carlson dealer and try and figure out the thread, but if this saves me time I will do it..

Thanks

Mike

Turns out it is invector threaded. Got a Carlson Longbeard XR choke fit like a glove. One Issue I foresee though (not sure if it's an issue)

There is a slight step from barrel to choke when I look down the barrel. Is this a problem?

It is threaded for the tru-choke system, same as Baikal shotguns. I would not be inclined to fire it with an Invector tube installed, just because it will screw in doesn't mean that it's the correct tube.

What is the tru choke system?. I can't find any Carlson chokes threaded to such? Can you point me in the right direction

Suggest first test pattterns using the factory Full. Last Saturday, we patterned six shotguns, mix of pump/semi/sxs and o/u in 12 and 20. We tested a variety of loads and the factory chokes performed very satisfactorily out to 35 yards. Most of us carried aftermarket Turkey chokes but didn't have time to use those and further decided the chokes won't be needed. Perhaps we can try those next season.
