Was I patient...??

Long story in short...
-Rifle ordered in middle of March.
-Many not answered calls and mails.

Before item was shipped I talk to Barb to make sure she chose right
carrier to go with since C.P. goes to strike.
She said that she will keep an eye on it....

-Item shipped June 07 FINALLY VICTORY HURRAY!!!!

---And then they send it trough C.P...---

So,now my gun is stuck in the post office and GOD knows how much longer
I'm going to wait this time...

I,m dealing with gun people for many years so I can tell from experience-
-THIS IS THE WORST TRANSACTION I EVER GO THROUGH-

Will I ever deal with Badger again-Hmm,go figure...

And,please don't tell me I wasn't PATIENT!!!

First we don't have All the info to make a judgement on this. Was the rifle in stock?
Did you offer to pay more for a shipment from another carrier than CP?
Was it CFO who stalled the transaction? When did you receive your papers?

Internet buisness bashing is easy. Trying to understand what happen is not.

Dealt with badger many times with great success.

Not another one...

will this ever stop?

Ive seen too many of these threads lately for it to be a coincidence. Just saying. All the people besides this guy that have posted about this company cant be wrong. Its enough to keep me from doing business with them for sure at least until they get moved and all the bugs are straightened out.

lol, every time i change it, i get PMs from people telling me to put it back.

I am getting sick of all the fan boys coming in and saying its all the buyers fault.

I ordered a gun from them three weeks ago where they told me it was in stock. She said it would take a few days to dig out of the warehouse and then a few more for registry. After a week I call to check on status and she tells me they put on hold as there was a note i wanted to upgrade to a "SIG". WTF I hadn't talked to them since ordering. So I reiterate that the order hasn't change. So OK it will take some more time. I wait another week and check the status. They have not even found the gun in the warehouse yet. READ not in stock but unwillling to say so.

I asked that any comunication be through email or my cell phone yet they call my home number. They promise to update me and send reciept via email but do not. So I cancel my order and tell them to reimburse my credit card that they charged from day one. They can't do that and want to mail me a cheque (during a mail strike). They then offer to send it puralator. Still not here.

This is the behavior of classic bait and switch artists very prevelent in the internet photography stores.

I will never use this business again, nor will my family, friends or associates.

And so you do not think i am hiding behind an alias, my name is Mark Albert. You have my info.

did you ever consider to report it to your Credit Card Provider?

I works 100%, I did it and got reimbursed in 1 hour.

beside this, you are just another:

:D

People are strange animals........

I had an expereince with them.

However I didn't feel the need to come on here and complain about it. I just didn't leave a trader rating.

If you have no patience, walk into a store and buy it. If there isn't a store around, take a weekend away trip to go to a store and get it. I make a few of these trips every year. Even drive down to Calgary (8.5 hours away) and make some purchases.

Badger is a new business. They have good pricing. They can be busy. Small operation. Give them some time to get up to where they need to be.

I'm not a fan, but a realist.

I don't believe in the "internet bashing" that was referenced earlier, but I do think that we CGN'rs should be able to post our experiences or reviews of those dealers we have had issues with - this goes for both the good and the bad.
I agree that there does seem to be a few out there that would likely complain on just about any issue, but for the most part there are just a lot of us that would like to use the forums as a sounding board, or to warn or encourage other CGN'rs based upon our own experiences. These may not be the experiences that everyone has - some love fords over chev, some vice versa.
At the same time, as there are some that would complain about anything, there are also those who will defend a dealer at any cost - stating that anyone who has is opinion is a bad apple or something else.
I think it is important that we be able to state our experiences, for each person to be able to use there own judgement about what they are reading, and most importantly for us to be respectful of the businesses, but them to also be responsible in their service delivery.
I had also recently posted about an incident that I had as well with Badger. I did not think it was "bashing", but rather presenting my experience(which I had first tried to work out on several occassions) for others to do with as they please. It was quickly removed by Badger, but, to their credit they did PM me and have indicated they will correct the situation. I don't agree with the removal, but must give credit where it is due.
Respectfully.

Now they sell Steyr rifles and i want to buy one but every time i am on the verge to call to order that Steyr 69 another story pop up making me hesitate, not a lot of dealer carry Steyr, cant wait everything get settle... JP.

Valid points, Rdl212.

I will do busienss with them again. My expereince wasn't bad enough to make me never deal with them again. May make a few phone calls earlier into the waiting period than I did last time.

I got a very good price on my rifle. Armand was a super nice fella to deal with on the phone.

I've never done business with badger, but after seeing these threads crop up all the time I'm not sure what to think. Bottom line is, i've never done business with them because they don't have what i want at the right price. If at some point they had a smokin deal on something i wanted I would give them a try, but i may be wiling pay a little more somewher else, just becasue i keep hearing this stuf....

If they are a legitimately bad business, they would go out of business very quickly. I don't think thats the case, myself though. I think they are just understaffed and too busy to provide the quality of service we seem to think we're entitled to.

" did you ever consider to report it to your Credit Card Provider?

Not always.

I tried to get a charge removed when a motel overcharged me.

Visa immediately took the side of the merchant. No refund for me.

I'm sick of people judging buyers or sellers.Who are we to judge anything.
These stories are why I go to store fronts and buy,not going through internet and ordering crap.

I know your pain of this experience, Troubleinxs! I was fed nothing but lies and excuses(and that was when they chose to take my call or come out from hiding behind their call desk help!) in my dealing with this outfit. There was no new store or postal strike to blame poor business practices on then. This was a year ago. He was dealing out of a Quonset on his farm and claiming that his stock was stored in the house but could not be accessed. These issues have been going on for a loonng time! Listen up people, there are definitely ongoing negative events going on here and Armand uses every excuse that could be conceivably plausible that he can to stall and delay.
In the end, after an unreasonable amount of delay, we were able to get or money charged back to the Visa, and that took 2 days. It can be done. Then let the BBB know.

That is based on the "you ate the hamburger" theory. If they overcharged you and you still stayed, you "ate the hamburger". If they told you before you checked in that the room would be more, you could have walked away, even if that meant sleeping in your car or a ditch, the law doesn't care about that. If you chose to stay knowing the higher price, you "ate the hamburger". If they told you one rate when you checked in, agreed to it, have proof of the original rate, then they over charged you, you would have a case for your CC to refund the difference.

You are talking about a Room in the Hamburger Hotel right?

are there any condiments in the room, like relish and mustard?
and last question, can I have my hamburger replaced by a hotdog?
:D
