Was playing with my Deerfield today....

[Wrong Way]

....and got thinking. The action is the same as the mini-14....and the mini is built to take .223 pressures......I wonder if I could rechamber the deerfield into something with a little more snot, yet still have the mag work......any thoughts?

Sounds interesting, though I would make sure the deerfield action is as strong as the mini's. Same action doesn't neccesarily mean same strength.
