come true. I joked with friends nearly every year at the beggining of hunting season, I wish I would get fired during hunting season to free up the time I need to do what I want to do.
Well, after putting in a full day on Tuesday I was asked to leave, handed a real nice severance package that will get me through the next 4 months pretty comfortably and told to hit the road. Company downsizing and I was cut from the team right smack in the middle of hunting season,,,

So lets see, whitetail for 3 days, then I think a week of mulies, then a combo hunt up further north, then we'll see how the freezer is looking... :dancingbanana:

I feel your ....pain???????

I got "let go" in the spring. I ran into a friend and am now contracting out my services to him for $40/hr and I pretty much work when I want to. My wife is working full time again (stopped untill the kids were old enough to go to school). I have one big project to finish by end of september and then its hunting time. My friend will even let me work from home. So I can pretty much go hunting in the mornings and work in the pm or when the weather is not co-operating

Wow , is'nt that crazy! You got what you wished for ;)

I ain't telling what I wish for ... still waiting :D

Happy Hunting and play safe!

now there's a catch 22 to most of lay-offs and sorts.... You can't spend money on guns anymore and you have to consider sleping in the car/tent rather than a comfy motel. And you need the meat....
Sorry about your loss. may you be succesful
