This may be better placed in the Ammo Forum - anyway, figured the Shotgun section will likely yield more response.....

Appreciate evaluations/impressions of duck hunters who may have used both brands in the field. Thanks,

Tugsten matrix is a great load ashan, but the cost ,ouch, ooch eech.Steel #2,3,4 inside 35 yards will easily do the job on ducks and geese. If someone insists on 50 to 60 yards on waterfowl, steel won't do it, but after years of waterfowl hunting with lead and shooting clays , i've yet to see many hunters who should be shooting even close to these ranges.Hevi shot is an excellent load as well, but the cost ouch.

The tungsten matrix is rated for old guns with fixed chokes as is bismuth, the others are not...so if you want to shoot your old SxS with full and mod. chokes the choice is clear.

I've used the Kent TM shells in my vintage SxS shotguns on ducks and geese. I was impressed with the performance. Almost as heavy as lead and even the 1 3/8 oz., 2 3/4" loads are 1375 fps. I haven't shot the hevi-shot loads, but I hear they are good if the gun is made for steel. Were you asking about the new Hevi-shot Classic Doubles made for vintage guns or the hard shot that has been out for a few years?

Sorry, meant to indicate the Classic Doubles. Thanks for the input, folks.
