My girlfriend seams interested in starting to get into shooting and maybe waterfowling. I'm planning on starting her out with abit of grouse hunting next weekend and if she is still interested maybe getting her out duck and goose hunting next year. So I have a 410 to start her on next weekend but I'm wondering what the woman like for duck guns? 20ga or should I go all the way with a 12ga? It must be light and I'm thinking that I should get a semi-auto. So what are my options?
Next is clothing. She's not a big fan of cold weather so everything must be super warm and comfortable. I'd like a womans opinion most so if any ladies are reading this I'd like your opinions. For the guys ask your woman what they like. When browsing the Cabelas catalog I see alot of clothing designed for woman. Are these any good? Do they have things that are specifically designed for woman. I'm just thinking that if she's comfortable sh'e more apt to go out again.

For small game I've got my 16 gauge single shot. As far as clothes, I wear what the guys wear. except womens long undies ( more comfy)

I was actually at Walmart today and saw that they had some remington coats and pants, (6 in 1 parka). It came in the Max 4 camo, if you are into the corn and grain field thing. Just a thought!

My wife uses a 20 gauge Remington 870... Works fine, not to heavy... The clothing thing is a little different especially the waders... Those are hard to find for women...

Cheers

I just wear mens clothing it is harder to find and more expensive for womens. Also make sure she does get herself a really good pair of long undies.

See if you could borrow somebodys gear and take her out duck/goose hunting to see if it is for her, trust me this is not going to be cheap!

Good Luck!
