my first duck&geese season is about to start and I need some guidance from fellow waterfowlers on what's a good hunting place around Regina SK.
I found some SWF places but some help is always welcomed.

both water and birds are very abundant. Don't expect other hunters to show you hot spots. Get on Google maps, find likely water bodies, then obtain a RM map, and find out who owns the land. Scout the sloughs in person ( binoculars help) to find which hold the most birds. Talk to the landowners some time before your hunt if possible. Ask permission politely and most will say yes. accept their answer without question or argument if they say no. You will have lots of opportunities.

i was thinking to try SWF land for my first season. I should have some luck as I see ducks everywhere and my shooting skills are decent

Get out and scout, watch, learn and practice. If you want to shoot birds you need to be where they are, conceal yourself appropriately and if you plan to use decoys emulate what the birds are doing when they're settled in a feeding area (thinking of field hunting here). Scout areas where there is both water and feed and if possible speak with landowners. As previously mentioned if you make a good impression and are respectful you will likely find plenty of opportunities. Always remember to say thanks after the hunt and the lasting relationships you form with landowners will open more and more doors to you. You will make mistakes but you learn more from them than successes - just make sure you remain safe if dealing with water hunts etc - those mistakes can be reallllyyy bad. Lastly have fun!

yea like its simple math if you have $20 and she has $5 then she has $25
but id also suggest contacting your local fish and game association, sometimes they have programs to take new hunters or will know people you could tag along with
