I have a friend who hunts in Arkansas a great deal for snows and ducks. He claimed that all he shot
this past year was his Benelli M2 20ga. Does anybody have experience using one of these for
waterfowl. Please I don't need opinions without direct field experience, I suspect I have same biases.
thanks to any and all that respond.

I can tell you from my snow hunting experience if they are pulling them down over the decoys a 20ga. is plenty of gun. Snows are soft, they are not hard to kill. They are not near as tough as Canadas. I shoot them out here out to 40 yards with a 1 1/8oz load of #2 steel. A 3” 20ga is the same payload.

Been using my Benelli M2 20 gauge for 3 years now. shooting 1 ounce 3in heavy metals no problem

Federal has a 7/8oz load of 1s kills Canadas as far away as you can hit them. Most people have no business shooting past 30 yards way anything with a heart beat. I’ve helped over 30 young people take their first geese all with 20ga’s. Kent’s fasteel 2’s are another decent load of your gun doesn’t like 1’s.
