Waxing rifle bores

Was reading a thread on Airgun Nation that talks about using wax in an airgun bore. Kind of interesting with regard to accuracy and cleaning. It's in the General Discussion sub forum if anyone is going to look for it.

I could see polishing the inside, like some guys do with their 22lr... but waxing?

What I do is clean an Airgun barrel and then push a patch wet with Pledge Down the bore, let it sit for about 10 minutes and then push a clean dry patch through. So I guess I wax my barrels. Sounds weird but it helps keep them from fouling.
