So out at the range today, in the rain, err yesterday actually, I got the scope dialed in for 200 yards. Took about 5x 10 shot groups to get it zero'd. This was the best group of the day:

Love my little 10/22!!!

What ammo and what adjustments did you have to do? I shot at the 100 yard mark with my Ruger 10/22 last week and did OK. Then I looked at some bullet drop charts and figured that 200 is almost not possible.

My setup is: Butler Creek target barrel and stock. Shooting on the bench off bipod and rear bag. Tasco 2.5-10x42mm scope. Remington Target ammo.

The elevation turret is very nearly at the total top of it's travel. I think I've got another 5 MOA left. I calculated 30.25" drop at 200 but it turned out to be about 43".

I find that the windage grouping tells the most about shooting skill. Because the rounds are factory loaded, the elevation varies considerably.

Ultimately, I didn't know if it was possible to get out to 200. I just tried it, no harm in going back to 100 if you find out 200 isn't possible. Give it a try scianna54!

I would love to get a Shilen barrel that MysticPlayer sells. Someday maybe. Other shooting things to spend the dough on right now. I bet I could plant 8 out of 10 within 1" at 200 on the left and right span. Ooooooo... the challenge burns inside of me.

Come to think of it... I need to go to Epps and get a brick of Lapua .22lr....... Hmmmmm.
