were in Canada can a guy find a good trigger for a vangaurd?

Took my Vanguard to a good gunsmith for some work, including tuning the trigger. He had no problem setting it up nice and crisp with no creep, at about 3 lbs. These are decent triggers, can't think of a reason to replace one, at least not for a hunting rifle.

That said, Howa (Vanguard maker) actions are quite popular, you should have no problems finding a Timney, or maybe a Shilen, for it. I'd check with reputable gunsmiths first, who will install and tune it properly for you.

I bought a Timney for my Vanguard. WAY better than the factory p.o.s.
Jerry Teo at Mystic Precision was great to deal with.

I've seen them go as low as 9oz from the factory with no creep, I would just have a good smith look at it.

I do not care for the alloy frame trigger group on the Howa made rifles. [great rifles, overall!] So I put Timneys on them. Permanent solution. Jerry Teo at mystic Precision is the guy to talk to, as already posted. Eagleye.
