Looking for some help here guys. I have a WBY Vanguard S1, in .223, (short action) with the speckled plastic stock. As a winter project I want to fit a Boyds thumbhole laminate stock. My question....is there a difference in the size of the hinged floorplate vs the non hinged version. Boyds only list their stocks with hinged plates for "bull" barrels...which I don't have. Mine is a regular sized barrel but has the hinged plate...maybe it was a kit the prior owner installed? If the hinged plate is a little wider than the solid version, I can reshape the single piece plate inlet to accomodate the hinged version. Does anyone know if there is a size difference between the two floor plates.. Thanks all.....Pete

I talked to Boyd's directly and they say there is no differnce between the inleting for a single piece floorplate and a hinged floorplate.

Problem now solved!!!
