WC 735 Powder

If you mean the surplus powder it is supposed to be 2 grains less a charge than H-335.Should work in the .308 but I doubt it for the .300win Mag.Better in .222-.223 and 30-30/.7.62x39........Harold

I use it in all my firearms. It has given good results esp with the 7.62x39, the .308, and the .303Br. I use it in my .30-06, but it is starting to stretch a little thin for the .300 Win Mag. You could probably use it but it wouldn't be even close to the best powder for best performance it being at the bottom of the scale as it is.
That being said, I would probably use it myself if I had to load for that round since it is a less expensive powder.

I've got a lot that I traded for which was supposed to be WC844 but I'd bet it's 735 now that I think of it.

44 grains is just dandy behind a 147gn ex-M80 ball projectile. If I were you, I'd start around 42gn and work up by 0.5gn increments.

In another thread, Hungry was just posting the same thing - I'm sure he'll be along shortly here as well! :D
