Can anyone help me with some data for this powder. I thought it might work in some of my older levergun cartridges. I was told it is 5% faster than H335 but I have no way of knowing how much difference that is to figure a starting load.

It is not in the burn rate chart either.

Any help appreciated. It would hopefully be used for shooting cast and Jacketed in 25-35, 25-36, 25 rem, 38-55 and if it is anything like SR4759 perhaps even my 41 Swiss will try it out. I don't think it is that hot though...

Thanks in advance!

Noel

The "5% faster" term is pretty much meaningless except that it provides a rule of thumb for load data. Use 5% less powder than for H335 and you'll be at similar pressures. e.g. if the Load for H335 is 40.0 grs, use 38.0 of WC-735.

For the 41 Swiss, WC-735 might be a good choice. With the 310gr Lee, I'd start at about 30.0 grs and settle on an accurate load that gave about 1300 fps.

So it will be a poor candidate for the 41 Swiss then. Too bad, I am having so much fun shooting this rifle Andy I was hoping to find some bulk powder. I with 4759 at 22grs one pound of powder will go a long way!

BTW, I got it to cycle very nicely at 2.200" and that loads is bang on 1400fps.

Thanks!

Here is some comparative data from my .223, you can exptrapolate from this, ~5-10% faster, assume 10% and work down.

Based on my experience aka robertbank on the cast bullet form this powder, for me, performed better in the 30-30 and .308 then it did for the .303. Powder seems to prefer smaller cases and is said to work quite well in .223.
